These translated articles were compiled by country and published as a newspaper under the title Kanpan Batabiya shinbun [Government Batavia Newspaper]. Those in charge of the translation included the physicians Sugita Seikei and Mitsukuri Genpo. A Stanhope handpress presented by the Dutch government to the shogunate was used.
