The product, it says, will transform chapped skin to silky softness. Apparently the kind of advertising line aimed at capturing a woman's interest in the attempt to sell cosmetics has not changed over the centuries. Outside the margin, bottom left, is the seal of Taiso, a rental library in Nagoya, which may mean that the ad was attached to the end of a volume of yomihon (narrative prose fiction).
