請求記号:文庫10 8871 ; 1枚 ; 26×36cm ; 地震を抑える要石をはずし、なまずが暴れたのは、神無月で鹿島の神が留守で、その番をしていた恵比寿天が一杯飲んで寝入ったせいだという話。なまずの方も、わきまえを知らない者共が暴れたと言訳をしている。最後の「よって苦難のごとし」は苦笑させられる。 ; 1 sheet ; The deep-rooted rock (kaname-ishi) at Kashima Shrine, Mito, that prevents earthquakes from occurring shifted, letting the catfish that cause tremors go wild because the deity Ebisu (one of the gods of good fortune), who was supposed to be watching over the rock while the deity of the shrine was away, drank sake and fell asleep. Ebisu apologizes, and the catfish leader too is making apologies, saying it was the thoughtless ones that went wild. The story ends with the wry remark, "No wonder we suffer from disaster."
