For those who will graduate or complete programs in this coming spring; undergraduate, graduate, non-degree student, research student, internship student, exchange student, please be in mind that there is a different system to access library around the end of academic year.　In case that you have not returned book(s) you checked out, you might not able to receive your transcript and certificate of degree, also an alumni association card from Alumni Affairs Section. Please be sure to return all books you borrowed.

Alumni can use Central Library, Toyama Library, Science & Engineering Library,
Tokorozawa Library with "Waseda Card" or "Alumni Association Card".

These card holders can use other libraries & student reading rooms in Waseda
University with a referral issued at the Reference Desk of the Central
Library or Campus Libraries.
For more information, please visit the alumni association website.

These card holders can browse libraries and make copies of materials.
Borrowing materials is not included in library service for alumni.

※The alumni affairs section will start issuing of Alumni Association Card
from March 26th.

From 15th of February, visit to Kansai University library is allowed for graduates, faculties and professor emeritus of Waseda University only with their ID cards based on the reciprocal agreement with them.

A Library card for Academic staff/ Faculty(without tenure), Part-time Lecturer (as a "Green" library card holder), Assistant Professor(referred as "Jokyo") and Research Associate ( as a University ID card holder) will expire on March 31st, 2010.(*1)
Those who continue their current positions in 2010 academic year can renew their library card and user's data as following procedure. The expiration date after renewal is on March 31st, 2011.
(*1 Expire date of user's data whose status is not tenured
is determined by the Waseda Univesity Library. Regardless of
expire date marked on Faculty/Staff ID, renewal procedure
must be taken every academic year.)
However, please note that you cannot renew your library card if you have overdue book(s). Please make sure to return before taking a procedure.
